CONTINUING A TRADITION

Preshil is a small school of unique beauty and heritage. It is one of only a handful of genuinely independent schools in Melbourne, and receives no funding from religious groups or other affiliated bodies. True independence means that Preshil has always relied on the support of its community to grow. Indeed, the school only exists today because past parents and alumni have given generously. Whereas in the past, Preshil’s fundraising was often informal, today the Preshil Foundation is openly celebrating and continuing our tradition of giving in a way that encourages all families to participate.

The Foundation has been mandated to raise funds to enhance Preshil’s financial security and help the school remain at the forefront of progressive education in Australia for the next 80 years and beyond. After all, Preshil isn’t just ‘any’ school – it’s a place of national significance. In an age in which education is increasingly regimented and standardised, Preshil’s approach and example is more important than ever.
