Testimonials.
Charles Gunter – now a Boeing 747 Pilot.
“Being a Boeing 747 captain has been pretty rewarding. It is still a blast to fly around the world in the ‘Queen of the Skies’ even though she frequently leaves me (and my family) exhausted.”.
“The point is that you can do almost anything if you want to, and it is possible to reach the pinnacle of your chosen career despite your schooling! Seriously though, I think Preshil encouraged me to believe I could do anything, and the tactile environment in the form of tree-climbing, hut-building, billy-carting, play-making gave me the natural manipulative and leadership skills which transfer to flying a jumbo jet.”

Jon Temby – now National Health, Safety and Environment Manager for a large company.
Jonathon (Jonny or Jon) Temby attended Preshil from 1959 to 1964. Jon is currently the National Health, Safety and Environment Manager for a large company. Beginning his career as a teacher whilst farming, potting, painting, gardening and house building, Jon attributes many of his interests, community activities, creativity and approach to life to his Preshilian beginnings.
“Preshil was great. I loved making cubbies in the trees, painting the rafters in our new hall, writing stories and going on excursions to exciting places. We made up plays, made the props, painted the backdrop, stage managed and performed. We solved lots of problems in self-generated creative teams. Preshil’s art and craft program spawned many lifetime interests and activities for me. I grew in an environment of respect for the individual. It was a friendly, welcoming and encouraging learning environment. I still maintain and cherish several of the great friendships that began at Preshil.”

Tim Davies – now a successful businessman.
“Value of being involved. You don’t have to be a parent to stay connected to Preshil. The Preshil school community embraces a lot of people who love the school – not just parents.”.
“Preshil gave me such a great start in life that is is rewarding and enriching to continue to be connected to the teaching, the place and the people who carry out the philosophies that made it such a great experience for me – and now do so for others. It’s a way to stay in touch and give back; a way to have the Preshil values remembered and reinforced in my life and be in touch with people who think in similar way that I do and share values – its a way to stay in touch with lifelong friends you make at Preshil and a delight to watch the current kids enjoy and flourish in an environment similar to the one I experienced.”
