ENSEMBLES NEWS
The Flying for a Prize Choir rehearses on Thursday mornings in the Kevin Borland Hall. Michelle has everyone singing and dancing and having heaps of fun. Come and join them and sing Uptown Funk and lots of other great tunes!

MUSICIAN PROFILE

Michelle Berner
With over 18 years of performance and teaching experience, Michelle has had the pleasure of working with artists such as Vanessa Amorosi and James Reyne. She has performed on television, in musical theatre and in many bands. Michelle performs at corporate events, weddings, private parties and often to thousands of people in large arenas.

Michelle has delighted audiences and students with her endearing and vibrant personality. She enjoys nothing more than being given opportunities to share her love of music. Her approach to teaching and performing is always enthusiastic and completely genuine. Michelle’s extensive experience ranges from teaching voice, piano, leading instrumental ensembles and various theatre performances.

In addition to joining the Preshil music team, Michelle is currently teaching at the Main Street Music Academy in Greensborough and working as the vocal and musical theatre teacher at the Westside Dance Studio in Hoppers Crossing.

Michelle is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the students at Preshil. She brings a caring energy, enthusiasm and a real passion for music to her teaching. Michelle will be leading both choirs this year, so come along and meet Michelle at Arlington on Thursday mornings or at Senior School at lunchtimes on Friday.

PRACTICE TIPS
Rhythm – This week’s practice tip encourages you to make sure you are keeping a steady beat. Use a metronome, clap the rhythm before playing it and count like crazy! Go on, give it a try!
