Our wonderfully talented singing teacher, Michelle Berner, and her colleague from NMIT, Imola Guitsti, came to Preshil last Friday and conducted a workshop with our children. Both Michelle and Imola composed music for the occasion and worked with students from Arlington and BK to teach them the music and help them to work together.
These lucky students had the opportunity to work with the composer and be the first to play original music. Some students were so inspired that they have suggested we continue to work on these two original compositions and perform them in Term 4.
It was an amazing experience for everyone.

Rhythm – This week’s practice tip encourages you to take time out to work out tricky rhythms. Pick a tricky section of a song you are playing or sight-read a new song and slowly work out the rhythm. Use a metronome to help you work out the exact timing. The more you can work out rhythms the easier sight-reading becomes!
