8s AND 9s ART & MUSIC EXPO
On Wednesday 30 July parents, teachers and students were treated to a wonderful exhibition of Art and Music. The 8s and 9s worked tirelessly to create beautiful art works from old encyclopaedias and combined this effort with their work in Music class. Throughout first semester the 8s and 9s explored soundscapes and music written for a purpose.
TECHNOLOGY IN MUSIC
More technology suggestions to inspire and help …..
1. Shazam – have you ever heard a song and wondered who it was by? This app is for you. Simply point Shazam in the direction of the song and within seconds Shazam will identify it for you. Try it!
2. Pandora Radio – a free app that allows you to discover new music along the lines of music you already love. Simply start with a song you love and the app will find more and create a personalised radio of songs you will like!
Take Breaks – This week’s practice tip encourages you to take breaks. It seems obvious but how easily we forget! Practising can be physically demanding and often it seems easier to just keep going, but it’s not. Take small breaks often and look after your body. Give it a go and see if it helps! For more tips and tricks visit our link here anytime.
Open Stage – Wednesdays at 8.45am in Kevin Borland Hall
